Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, Anita discovered her passion for hair at a young age. Upon graduating high school, she was accepted at the University of Mississippi and began her collegiate career against her initial desire to attend cosmetology school. After one semester, she relocated to Dallas, Texas; the beginning of her journey. While working various jobs in the finance industry, she attended night classes at Ogle School of Hair, Skin, and Nails; where she obtained hours for licensure.

Anita has grown in the beauty industry for over a decade, building her La Chiq brand. Her passion for healthy hair, organization, and positive energy has impressed clients consistently. Her background in business and finance has afforded the opportunity to combine her skills as a hair artist with exceptional business management; optimizing your salon experience. Being a believer of knowledge, Anita finds joy in educating her clients in a variety of ways to properly style and maintain their LOCX.
